 Paul Martin's American Bistro Restaurant Review: This suburban restaurant boasts one of the best outdoor patios in the Sacramento area. In fact, when things heat up, there is no better place to relax while sipping a glass of wine and listening to the trickle of the outdoor water fountain. As far as the menu is concerned, dishes are decidedly Californian, featuring organic produce, humanely raised meats and sustainable seafood. Dishes are uncomplicated, not burdened with heavy sauces or overwhelming spice. The menu includes starters such as a house-smoked salmon spread, salt and pepper wild prawns and wild mushroom soup. Mains include skirt steak with maple-bourbon sweet potatoes, cedar plank salmon and braised short ribs. Try one of the fixed-price three-course dinners on weekends, which include prime rib or fried chicken. |
