Paulette's Restaurant Restaurant Review: Located inside the River Inn of Harbor Town, a boutique hotel on Mud Island, Paulette’s Restaurant offers continental cuisine on the banks of the Mississippi River. Chef de cuisine William Means' menu focuses on classic European dishes such as escargots, Sicilian chicken and a richly sauced filet Paulette; daily specials appear on a regular basis as well. Popovers, served with every entrée, and desserts, such as bread pudding and crêpes (perhaps fresh strawberry) are justly well known. The wine list, too, recalls the old continental restaurants. For brunch, we recommend the eggs Oscar, two poached eggs topped with hollandaise sauce and jumbo lump crab meat. Paulette’s also governs service at the hotel’s rooftop bar, where appetizers are available along with beverages and that view of the Big Muddy beyond.
