| The cool, pale-jade green walls, mirrored niche containing a golden Buddha and the portrait of Thai royalty make a certain elegant statement. So, too, do the white linen tablecloths and well-dressed staff in this upscale Thai restaurant, a favorite at lunch for the Tysons area business crowd. The management also has gentrified the restaurant’s food, paring down flavors, discarding chilies and leaving a selection of dishes lacking the traditional dramatic Thai flavors or heat. Probably the most noteworthy dishes on the menu include the roast duck salad, the drunken noodles and the much-too-mild Penang curry. The black sticky rice pudding made with coconut milk is the best dish on the menu. |
