PB Boulangerie Bistro Restaurant Review:

This bakery and bistro was started by chef Philippe Rispoli, a native of France, who has worked with Daniel Boulud, Michael Mina and Charlie Palmer. The restaurant's concept is two-fold. By day, it is an old-world boulangerie offering croissants, tarts and other pastries for breakfast, simple soups and sandwiches for lunch, and some of the best bread on the Cape. (We can't get enough of the cheese and bacon loaf.) In the evening, the charming dining room with its open kitchen comes alive serving French bistro classics. Menu highlights include house-made charcuterie, a Black Angus rib-eye steak frites, duck breast with foie gras and mango coulis and, of course, Wellfleet oysters. A small dessert menu features house-made ice creams and sorbets, as well as French standards like crème brûlée. In addition to offering a pleasant selection of wines, the restaurant offers a list of creative cocktails. Wine lovers should check out the wine dinner series. Because PB is one of the most popular restaurants on Cape Cod, be sure to make a reservation well in advance.
