THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Perroche Restaurant Review:
Though the name sounds French, Perroche is in fact an English goat cheese. Not surprisingly then, a British chef---Stuart Barker---prepares the inventive dishes offered in this compact little restaurant. The parfait of chicken livers appetizer is a winner. Best-bet entrées include the roasted chump of lamb with rosemary flageolet beans and the chargrilled rib of beef beurre maître dhôtel with roasted fries. Our favorite dessert is the rhubarb fool. The reasonably priced wine list goes well beyond the requisite vintages and shows a great deal of thought on Barkers part. The one distraction here is the noise level when the room is full, as it frequently is.
