Phil’s BBQ Restaurant Review

: Patrons wait patiently in line for Phil Pace’s barbecue, knowing that his mesquite-grilled baby-back and beef ribs, barbecue chicken and heaping sandwiches are close at hand. Try the “Broham” sandwich --- tender shredded pork with Phil's sauce served on a thick bun and topped with creamy coleslaw. Order up some baked beans, beer-battered onion rings and hand-cut fries and you will be in hog heaven. This spacious location holds more than 200 people, and sister outposts can be found in San Marcos and Santee.

Phil's BBQ Rules!
by Chadwickglide on Sat Jul 18, 2009 3:22 pm

The Best ribs that I have had in CA are at Phil's BBQ! It appears that I am not alone because there is constantly a line of people winding down the front sidewalk from this place. The chicken is good too, but don't miss the baby back or beef ribs. Side dishes are all homemade (Cole Slaw snobs will not be disappointed). The Colossal Onion Rings should not be missed. Get yourself down to San Diego and visit Phil's before you hit the beach.
