BLT Steak is big, boisterous and boldly fashionable. And that’s just the beginning. You can opt for genuine Japanese Kobe beef or the slightly less expensive American Wagyu beef cuts. You can also get your beef fix from a mere burger, such as the Wisconsin CAB with apple, bacon and cheddar. The lunch menu features assorted salads, artistically seasoned and constructed, and a selection of sandwiches served with sizzling hot fries heaped up in a cone. Order a stack of the crisp and thick fried onion rings to accompany your entrée, perhaps braised short ribs or a rack of lamb. Dinner offerings are much the same, minus the sandwiches and entrée salads. As for dessert, try the cheesecake. But you can opt for mini donuts, fresh fruit or a crêpe soufflé before heading back into Washington’s crush. You’ll probably want to extend your meal at BLT just so you can continue to soak up the glamour of this power place.
