Piola Italian Restaurant & Garden Restaurant Review: Occupying a beautifully renovated cottage just behind the University of North Texas Health Science Center, this warm, welcoming bistro with wooden floors, stucco walls and a charming patio at the rear draws a happy crowd. Within shouting distance of the museums, it’s a lovely place to take time out from enjoying artwork at lunch or to wrap up a day of culture. If you long for comfort, it’s here in Grandma’s lasagna or the eggplant Parmigiana. If you seek something more elegant, try the risotto di mare or the chicken breast stuffed with a spinach-ricotta blend and decorated with roasted red bell peppers and pine nuts, then swept with a tart, buttery artichoke sauce punctuated by plump capers. |
