THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS Pix Patisserie Restaurant Review

: Cheryl “Pix” Wakerhauser’s chocolate shop and bakery offers a tempting array of whimsical tortes, cakes, tarts, truffles, almond macaroons and petits fours. A couple of tables line the sidewalk outside; indoor seating is cozy, all the better for examining your neighbors’ choices before making your own. Options include the Carmen Miranda (an artistically arranged fruit tart); the Concord, an over-the-top chocolate lover's dream; and the tarte ménage à trios, which combines almond cream, chocolate ganache, and orange vanilla bean crème brûlée. Top off your dessert with a scoop of house-made ice cream, a truffle (perhaps a salted caramel), or a dessert wine, beer or liqueur from the lengthy drink menu. Along with these treats, there's often something special happening here, such as gastronomical trivia night. Also located at 3901 N. Williams Ave., Ste. D, 503-282-6539.
