This cozy spot down the street from owner Antonino Mastellone's other local eatery, Arrivederci, gained a loyal following nearly upon opening---word traveled that fast. The mood is fun and festive, the food, simple and delicious. There are over 20 pizza choices on the menu, along with starters, salads and pastas synonymous with Italy. All pies have the crisp, but chewy crusts pizza aficionados seek. Go for a local favorite like the University Avenue pizza topped with mascarpone, mozzarella, arugula and pine nuts, or make a more traditional choice like the Salamino Piccante with tomato sauce, mozzarella and salame piccante (a.k.a. pepperoni). Pair your pie with one of the many reasonably priced Italian red wines and you will swear you're in the motherland. |
