THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Potpourri Fondue Gallery Restaurant Review: Couples, families and groups of friends are happy to cozy up to a cauldron at this fondue spot. The requisite offering of Swiss and cheddar melted with wine and a hit of spice is on the menu, as are Gruyère and a bold combo of Jarlsberg and Brie. The standard meat courses consist of chicken and beef, and there’s shrimp and scallops, too. It’s not all that ground-breaking, but it can be fun with the right crowd. All dinners include a variety of garden vegetables --- broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, onions and potatoes --- as well as salad and dinner rolls. For non-fondue fare, the place offers veal francaise, chicken scaloppine and vegetarian stir-fry. Dinner would not be complete without the chocolate fondue, into which diners dunk marshmallows, pound cake, bananas, pineapples, apples, maraschino cherries and seasonal fresh fruit.
