| As the name implies, this is quick Italian fare, counter-service style. But it's not entirely as inexpensive as you would imagine: Wine, salads, coffee and desserts can pad the bill. This loud yet comfy and popular café is brought to us by the Mandola family, who also own nearby Vincent's and Nino's. Excellent rustic Italian table bread and marinated veggies are gratis treats. Some dishes come across as lacking the robust seasonings we expect at the Mandolas' other eateries; but, even still, the lemon-roasted chicken with garlic mashed potatoes seems to be the draw. The osso buco and the linguine diavolo with shrimp are also good, but pricier, options. |
