The Quarter Bistro Restaurant Review: The outdoor patio, with its flower beds and good-looking crowd, is the place to spend a warm summer evening. That said, cool spring and autumn nights also are pleasant when spent outdoors. And the bistro's location, next to the old-fashioned Mariemont Theater, makes it a good place for a date night. (On Wednesdays, you can even get a 20 percent discount with the purchase of a movie ticket.) The contemporary-eclectic menu features dishes hailing from the Pacific Rim, the Mediterranean and the good ol' U.S. of A. Offerings change seasonally, but starters might range from lobster macaroni and cheese to pork belly lettuce wraps. The go-to main dish is the 18-hour short ribs with basil-pea emulsion, roasted mushrooms, pickled ramps and English pea spätzle. Dessert options might include crème brûlée, strawberry shortcake and bread pudding. |
