Raincity Grill Restaurant Review: Since 1992, Raincity Grill, located across from English Bay, has celebrated all things Vancouver, becoming one of the first restaurants in the region to embrace the “buy locally, eat seasonally” concept. Chef de cuisine Jennifer Peters continues the journey to sustainability with the focus on seafood, game, poultry, and organic vegetables from British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest. Several tasting menus are available: the Regional Tasting Menu where the stars of the plate are vegetables such as North Arm Farms beets; the 100-Mile Tasting Menu inspired by local farmers and fishermen features dishes that evolve with the seasons; the Market Mondays Menu brings farm to table by featuring a local supplier on the last Monday of each month; and the early prix-fixe three-course menu with Koji salmon or Berkshire pork is served from 5 p.m.-6 p.m. The wine list includes 500 labels from Washington, Oregon, California and British Columbia vintners. Service is professional and gracious. |
