THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Rasa Sayang Restaurant Review:
Malaysian cuisine seems a mix of Thai and Indian, for they use coconut milk, cumin, ginger, galangal, lemongrass and curry, as their main seasonings. This friendly spot, with deep pink cloths and flowers on every table, is a good place to try out this fragrant, slightly familiar, slightly strange, cooking. It can be mild, as in a satay of bean curd stuffed with cucumber and bean sprouts, or hot, like squid with Chinese watercress. There are soothing soups like lotus-stem herbal soup or spicy soups like seafood hot-and-sour soup. Rotis with curry, as in India, are widely served, and there are endless vegetarian choices. Noodle dishes, such as mee goreng, with tofu, potatoes, shrimp, eggs, and bean sprouts, are very popular.
