The Red Door Restaurant Review

: Behind the red door, this family-owned neighborhood restaurant surprises at every turn. The relaxed but tasteful setting evokes the feel of a friend's bright and airy home; servers are unobtrusive yet buttoned-up and savvy. A farm-to-table philosophy rings true, as owner Trish Watlington brings a bounty from her garden in Mt. Helix and chef Miguel Valdez makes use of the organic and sustainable produce, pairing it with quality meats and fish. Watlington’s son Justin is the affable and entertaining general manager. A California-centric wine list stays true to the restaurant’s ethos by focusing on labels from organic and sustainable vineyards, and also favors nice selections from Baja's wine country, Guadalupe Valley. Look for the farmers, friends and fishermen special dinners that honor the local talent.
