Redstone American Grill Restaurant Review: Okay, so seeing the BMW and Jaguar parked out front is a little disconcerting. Still, the rustically rich interior and aromatic smells of grilled meat within bespeak that woodsy ambience and hearty meat-and-potato world many Midwesterners adore. From meatloaf to grilled salmon to the signature rotisserie grilled chicken---nearly everything is cooked over the open flame. One notable un-smoky item is the crumbly corn bread, with just the right amount of jalapeños to give it a flavorful kick. The Canyon flatbread, Redstone's answer to pizza, is a crunchy and fresh non-meat alternative. Service is friendly and knowledgeable, even under the strain of negotiating crowds and packs of small running children. The no reservations policy makes for packed weekends and substantial waits, but feel free to eat at the bar with ESPN playing overhead. |
