Regatta 220 Restaurant Review: When the weather is nice, enjoy the outdoor patio overlooking the Fox River, but don't rule out dining here when it's cold. The floor-to-ceiling windows of the sleekly decorated, nautical dining room frame striking views of the river year-round. The menu highlights locally harvested and produced ingredients whenever possible, and it's plenty creative, too. Signature eats range from lightly sautéed gnocchi to sirloin steak and a turkey burger topped with tomato bruschetta, fresh mozzarella and balsamic vinegar. Also worth a look are the pizzas, such as Thai or buffalo chicken, fired in a wood-burning oven. The extensive wine list includes unique reds and proprietary blends as well as a wide selection of Chardonnay, Champagne, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc, some by the glass and half bottle. Those on gluten-free or vegetarian diets will be satisfied as well.
