Reginelli's Pizzeria Restaurant Review: Reginelli’s in the heart of the Garden District is located on an ever-growing restaurant row. Interiors vary from one branch to another, but this one is minimalistic and contemporary with bright, inviting lighting. Known for its thick, flavorful pizza crusts and imaginative topping combinations, Reginelli’s always draws a crowd. Monday and Tuesday nights’ $2 pitchers of Abita beer and Wednesday night’s $10 bottles of wine make a pizza night extra appealing. A typical specialty pizza is lavished with pesto sauce, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh basil and roasted red peppers. Fillings for two-fisted grilled focaccia sandwiches include slices of chicken roasted with rosemary, daubed with goat cheese and fresh spinach. Baked pasta dishes and calzone round out the menu. Desserts vary daily, so ask what’s on tap. The neatly maintained and efficiently run dining room adds allure.
