Relish Restaurant Review: You're almost sure to drive by Relish before realizing this small house is the restaurant you're seeking. With chef Chris Prunier in the kitchen and Linda Robinson greeting and seating, Relish is a warm, welcoming neighborhood spot. The menu doesn't change much, so you can look forward to a brandade de morue, a specialty from southern France, here a large plate of salt cod, puréed with potato and topped with a creamy garlic sauce. Country pâté is served with a sinus clearing mustard. You can then move on to one of the classic country French mains like cassoulet or the duck leg confit, tender inside and crispy outside, with lentils touched with allspice for a warmer flavor. Desserts include a brownie sundae with a good mix of chewy and soft, served with vanilla ice cream. The wine list is short but mighty with some nice French reds and sparkling choices. |
