| This Lower East Side diner may have first turned on its burners in early 2008, but you’d never know it from the checkered floor, the shiny vinyl booths, the long counter filled with regulars, and the faux wood paneling on the table tops. Servers wear tuxedo shirts and have a knack for “Kiss my grits”-casual service. The menu harkens back to the days when Greeks had a stranglehold on the corner diners in New York City, offering a little bit of everything: decent burgers, big salads, old-school Italian pasta dishes, meatloaf with creamy garlic mashed potatoes, and all the breakfast staples, served all day, and all night. |
