Named after the ideal temperature at which to store wine, this Capitol Mall restaurant is a unique find in a neighborhood dominated by office buildings. Floor-to-ceiling windows offset a modern, minimalist décor, a perfect balance to the colorful menu. Chef Luc Dendievel brings a creative, inspired touch to his seasonal cuisine. Start with Mussels 55 degrees, with beer, bacon and goat cheese or crispy sweetbreads with a carrot orange reduction. Move on to sea scallops with sautéed pea leaves, New Zealand snapper with black rice, or muscovy duck with baby vegetables. The adventurous can try the Chef’s Mercy six-course tasting menu, or go behind-the-scenes with a monthly cooking class or beer or wine tasting.
