Rice Thai Cuisine Restaurant Review: Kris Boonruang and his wife line the color-rich walls of their Thai restaurant in downtown Roswell with artwork. In fact, when he bought the house, his intention was that it would be an art gallery for their work, not a restaurant. But he began serving food, and so Rice Thai Cuisine evolved. A single set of dishes governs both lunch and dinner menus, although prices at dinner are a notch higher. Things don't change much at this popular establishment, so you'll find such perennial favorites as salmon, cooked medium rare if so ordered, presented with garlic chili sauce in a lemon grass broth. Jumbo sea scallops and shrimp, a huge, pristine fresh portion, come with a ginger-garlic sauce over steamed vegetables. Choose any one of several curries and adorn it with a protein, like shrimp, tofu or chicken. Dessert calls for that Thai classic: sticky rice with mango and coconut cream. The wine list is decent but lacks both length and breadth, and there are some beers, but no spirits.
