Rick's Cafe Boatyard Restaurant Review: This casual-elegant waterfront restaurant offers everything from live jazz in the bar to wedding settings in the ballroom. The dining room is framed by views of the water, making it a favorite for family gatherings and romantic dinners for two. Starters, such as saké-seared scallops with a calamari salad, could make a meal, though you may opt for the Blue Point oysters followed by a marinated, mesquite-grilled porterhouse pork chop topped with roasted garlic butter instead. Also on the menu are a tempura-fried grouper Reuben and gluten-free, spicy, plum-glazed shrimp with blue nori relish, enoki mushrooms and coconut rice. While watching the sun set finish with the house specialty, “Death by Chocolate,” Chambord-infused chocolate mousse on a pecan-stuffed brownie, sealed with raspberry truffle and chocolate ganache.
