 Rise Sushi & Sake Lounge Restaurant Review: Compared to more elaborate sushi restaurants, Rise seems stark and plain. That's a compliment, because the focus here is on the food, not the flair or foolishness. All of the usual sushi suspects are available, so the avid fan will not be disappointed. But you'll also see more unusual finds like the Ichiban roll with tempura hamachi and Japanese pear and the tempura scallop roll with spicy mayo and topped with salmon. There’s a kitchen menu as well, so the sushi shy can nosh on red snapper in oyster sauce, beef ribs spiked with Japanese green pepper, udon noodles and pad thai. Some saké selections are offered, but you also may order a martini with saké. |
