River City Diner Restaurant Review: With a little imagination, you could picture this colorful diner as an in-crowd hangout. Its eclectic menu offers grilled Reuben sandwiches, Southern fried catfish, chicken pesto pasta and something called a Rochester Garbage Plate with two hot dogs, chili, cheese, hash browns, coleslaw, potato salad, and baked beans (it goes great with the peanut butter milk shake). But if you are looking for more traditional diner fare, you can order up a plate of Mom’s Meatloaf with a scoop of mashed potatoes drizzled with gravy. Or grab a burger or Greek salad. Breakfast is served all day, and although this diner is not open twenty-four hours, it is open until 3 a.m. on weekends. Also located in Bellgrade and Northside. |
