This is barbecue the way anybody from the South would like it. The aroma of smoking meat perfumes the parking lot and draws you out of your car. Texans particularly will love the richly smoky and tender brisket. Ribs are slow-cooked over wood. The pulled-pork sandwich bests the chopped and sliced varieties. Brunswick stew is made with barbecued meat plus corn and tomatoes only. The barbecue chicken excels, tender and moist with plenty of sauce. Side dishes are simply great, including superior fresh coleslaw, macaroni and cheese and greens. Beer is the only alcohol available, but the freshly brewed sweet tea is a serious temptation.
