 Comfort food laced with trendy ideas is the order of the day at Rockit Bar & Grill. A Kobe beef burger with melted Brie, fried shallots and Medjool date aïoli alongside truffle fries, for example. But we’re particularly partial to the roasted chicken with elegant mashed potatoes. Desserts are somewhat ho-hum (crème brûlée, chocolate mousse, profiteroles). The real deal here, though, is that Rockit rocks with a hip crowd, so it is as much about the scene as it is the cuisine. A cool deal is the second floor with couches, booths, a bar and pool tables. The late night and early morning crowd is a scene of its own.
