THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS Rockpool Restaurant Review:

Chef Neil Perry was one of the pioneers of fine dining in Sydney. Rockpool has weathered several changes in the economic climate as well as fads, trends and diner preferences. Yet it still stands tall as one of the premier restaurants in the city. Ever the place for celeb-spotting and the big night out extravagance, this place has always been just as appreciated by locals as tourists who can be assured of a sensational meal. Perry’s penchant for seafood means the freshest available is featured, such as Queensland spanner crab, cuttlefish with duck prosciutto, and Tasmanian lobster served with scrambled eggs and kombu. Perry’s other great love is Asian flavours and these too star in dishes such as a jackass morwong with sour orange curry, cashews, coconut and herbs. The classics menu offers all-time favourites such as crispy pressed duck, followed by a passion fruit tart (and maybe occasionally, Perry’s long-admired date tart). The wine list is extensive and delights diners as much as the menu. The accomplished staff are well-placed to suggest wines that will match dishes for a seamless meal.
