Romano's Macaroni Grill Restaurant Review: If you’re seeking a comforting, no-surprises kind of meal that the whole family will like, look no further than Romano’s Macaroni Grill. The kids can color on the paper-topped linens, mom and dad can sip on the house Chianti and everyone can enjoy a fresh selection of Italian favorites. Portions are plentiful. Salads, brick-oven pizzas, fish and chicken are all presented with flavorful, sometimes trendy preparations, but the pasta is the real focus. Penne rustica, pasta Milano and braised pork pappardelle are among the go-tos. Whole-wheat pasta is available upon request. Glasses of house wine are served on the honor system, but trade quantity for quality and choose something from the list instead. For a dessert, try the lemon passion cake served with whipped cream and lemon curd. If you prefer to indulge in carbs in the privacy of your own kitchen, call ahead and pick up curbside.
