Picture that old-school-type soda fountain diner scene, complete with a counter and chrome stools, and you have Ruby's. Order the house favorite: one of the '50s-style burgers with a side of fries and a cherry Coke. There are also huge salads, sandwiches, hot dogs, soups and chili if you're not in the mood for burgers. With multiple locations opening since the original debuted in the '40s, Ruby's has food and hospitality that remains timelessly good. This branch offers a special on Tuesdays --- kids eat free after 4 p.m.
