Rudi Lechner's Restaurant & Bar Restaurant Review: A German band featuring a 13-foot Swiss Alphorn takes the stage most nights at Rudi Lechner's, easily the most charming and authentic Bavarian restaurant in the city. Express lunches reveal inexpensive steins of beer and plates of chicken schnitzel, while dinners might begin with a sampler plate of sharable cabbage rolls and potato pancakes before diners tuck into the first-rate roasted pork shank or the braised beef brisket topped with potent horseradish. Lighter options are available from a limited menu of seafood and vegetarian entrées. Not so light, but worth the indulgence, is the slice of Black Forest cake or the Viennese iced coffee topped with ice cream.
