Rugby Grille Restaurant Review

: Birmingham's boutique hotel offers all the amenities of a luxury hostelry with its lavish arrangements of fresh flowers, plush furnishings and attentive staff. The Grille offers seating in both a handsomely traditional dining room and in the gallery, a long narrow area just outside the dining room and bar. Tables are linen-lavished and the appointments handsome, as should be expected in a hotel of this caliber. The dinner menu includes a choice of three soups and appetizers like crab cakes and giant shrimp cocktail. Main courses run from Maine diver scallops to Millbrook Farms rack of lamb and veal Bolognese. Prime meat selections, including filet mignon, New York strip steak and double-cut lamb chops, also are available. The approach at lunch is lighter, with salads and creative sandwiches heading the list.
