RumFire Restaurant Review: RumFire at Sheraton Kauai Resort features a relaxed beach atmosphere. The kitchen turns out Hawaiian- and Asian-influenced starters like Ahi poke, shrimp lumpia and Japanese pear flatbread, along with more substantive dishes like Hawaiian jerk chicken with plantain mash, roasted sweet peppers and carrots, and rosemary chicken jus. A tasty flourless sea salt chocolate cake is a great way to conclude a pleasant meal. The namesake spirit plays a part in many of the drinks, but you can also go beyond the Mai Tai with options like the Coco Cucumber Fresh made with Kai Young Coconut Shochu, Thatcher’s organic cucumber liqueur, muddled cucumber, lime and coconut water.
