 Formerly located in a nondescript North Miami Beach strip mall, Ruth's Chris upgraded to this more appealing Coral Gables location---and, with food this good, it was deserved. Exceptionally savvy servers in penguin suits respond to your beck and call at this paradigm of American steakhouses, where old-fashioned service standards are taken as seriously as the food. A sophisticated wine list also features a healthy selection of Champagnes, suggesting that this is a special-occasion spot. Evidence is everywhere: the anniversary couple dining in the corner; birthday slices with candles ablaze being whisked through the dining room, buckets of Champagnes chilling by tables throughout. Unless you direct otherwise, butter melts atop your choice of archetypal tenderloin, buttery strip, or super sirloin---steaks that evoke the hedonist in one and all.
