THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED Like the nearby Morton’s of Chicago, this Denver location of a steakhouse chain is strictly big bucks. Which is what it takes to wrangle a meal here. The high-dollar prices and ambience make Ruth’s a prime locale for hob-nobbing business types and tourists looking for real cowtown culture. But you won’t get a western-style steak in this swanky tech-exec setting. Order one of the place’s signature slabs and you’ll get a cut of aged beef that arrives spitting and snarling from beneath a coating of melted butter. No cowboy would drown his protein in such a fashion. It’s sacrilege that draws deep-pocketed victims daily. Along with the cuts of beef and such you’ll also find entrées of chicken and fish all served with potato and steamed veggie staples. We rustle-up our beef elsewhere for far less dough.
