| This endearing little neighborhood spot boasts a modest but charming dining room with a mural of the Japanese countryside and small collection of flower-topped tables, some of which spill out onto a pedestrian arcade. Orders are taken at the door, where an illustrated menu is posted, unless you settle in at the small L-shaped sushi bar, where you’ll receive personalized service. Either way, you'll get respectable sushi for the price. Combination plates with sashimi, tempura, sushi or teriyaki are about $10, and the service from the mom-and-pop owners is generally delightful. A vegan menu, featuring brown rice, tofu and sea and root vegetables, is also available. |
