: The high-low combo punch of casual rooms and upscale atmosphere has hit the North Shore. Chef Paul Booras, a former Olives protégé, has opened his third ex-urban resto in The Salt Box. It's across from Shaw's supermarket and has a fax lighthouse attached---typical clam shack stuff. But the fact that Ipswich is famous for fried clams makes this venture a big challenge for him. The mixed woods and booths of the dining room certainly seem an odd foil for a menu that mixes a raw bar, seafood paella, textbook crunchy fried clams, and even things like tenderloin. For the sake of the suburbs and damn good surf-and-turf, we're rooting for him.
