Brazilians call it a churrascaria, but Las Vegas calls it a steakhouse. It's really a Latin American feast of meats and poultry barbecued on a rodizio, with an array of sides served family-style. The gleaming open kitchen with its Brazilian-style rotisserie is the focal point. An hourglass-shaped container sits on each table with the red side up until guests turn the green side up, signaling servers to slice the barbecue from swords onto their plates. Chefs deftly turn out specialties such as churrasco sirloin picanha-style, ginger soy flank steak, slow-cooked sausage with sweet peppers, Brazilian-style baby-back pork ribs, Hawaiian-style huli huli chicken and slow-roasted pork with pineapple. House favorite appetizers include crispy coconut prawns with fire 'n' ice mango coulis, and marinated shrimp and sea bass ceviche served with sea salted crackers. Among other à la carte specialties are rigatoni with Pecorino cheese and garlic cream, mahogany-caramelized salmon filet, steaks, banana cream pie and a chocolate-macadamia nut brownie. For the true Brazilian experience, don't miss out on the caipirinhas, made with cachaca rum. Children six and over are welcome.
