San Diego Chicken Pie Shop Restaurant Review

: Founded in 1938, this restaurant appeals to a wide range of folks, from senior citizens to young, hungry families. Some regulars have been patronizing it since it opened. There’s good value for traditional fare like baked chicken, ham and liver with onions dinners. Homemade soups such as split pea and chicken are an ideal comfort food. In this streamlined, no-nonsense environment, old-school waitresses perform speedy delivery of those famous chicken pies, which are actually made with both turkey and chicken. The steaming pies are loaded with rich gravy and topped with crisp pastry crusts, and served with small mountains of mashed potatoes.
