| Sapporo's main focus is on the Japanese grill, and it provides stiff competition against good American-style steakhouses with its grilled meats and seafood. Choices include steak, chicken, scallops, shrimp, lobster and salmon, all served with soup, salad and rice. But there is much more to this contemporary restaurant; namely, a large selection of Japanese small plates, perfect for sharing and sampling the skills of the chef. Make a meal out of the melt-in-your mouth pepperfin---sliced albacore with jalapeño and ponzu, Kobe carpaccio with hot olive oil and ginger, or honey miso baby-back ribs. The atmosphere is a mix of the contemporary and traditional, with warm amber lights, flat-screen TVs and paper lanterns. |
