THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Sarava Restaurant Review:
Saravá is a hip, stylish escape from cool-climate Cleveland, and yet it somehow feels right at home in the city's Shaker Square neighborhood. It's large and open, and the 24-seat bar boasts a lengthy menu. Among the plates are the beef churasco, shrimp inferno and crisp Spanish cheese, each big on flavor with well-seasoned accompaniments. Be sure not to miss happy hour, when patrons can indulge in $5 drinks, $3 beers and $5 small plates. If you're coming for dinner and looking for something a bit more filling, the pan-seared sea scallops or the grilled chicken thighs with a juicy fruit glaze are of note. There are dedicated gluten-free and vegetarian menus, too. For dessert, the ouro preto torte is dense and chocolaty and sparked with real gold leaf. In the summer, a 100-seat patio, featuring live music and a tropical vibe, tempts passersby. The wine and cocktail list is short but adequate.
