THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Saucy Bistro Restaurant Review:
Saucy Bistro’s well-appointed dining room, reminiscent of California wine country, offers guests a quiet, calm enclave for good food and wine. An open kitchen affords a clear view of the hard-working and well-groomed staff doing its thing amid spotless surroundings. Tables are well-spaced, and noise thankfully is controlled. Chef and owner Matt Barnes is known for his sauces and use of high-quality ingredients. Consequently, guests will be remiss if they don’t dance around the entire menu of bistro-style fare. Start with the warm Brie trio served with a walnut balsamic syrup, cherry prosciutto chutney and an artichoke tomato pesto. From there, try either the New Zealand lamb rack with Cabernet-cassis sauce or swordfish with earthy shiitake and pea risotto and roasted tomato vinaigrette. The wine list is thoughtful, with a smattering of vinos from around the world. The waitstaff is pleasant and attentive.
