Scarduzio's Steak Sushi Lounge Restaurant Review: Steak or sushi? At Scarduzio’s you can choose the best of both. Add in an extensive wine list, creative handcrafted cocktails, timeless elegance and professional service. Located just off Showboat’s noisy gaming floor, Scarduzio’s feels like a quiet refuge. USDA Prime beef is naturally-raised and pasture-fed, hormone- and antibiotic-free, while lamb and pork is exclusively from DeBragga --- a premier NYC butcher. Seafood and chicken selections also tempt, but so do Asian specialty offerings. Other standouts on chef Chris Scarduzio’s menu: diver sea scallops with “fregola sarda” (Sardinian semolina pasta) and pancetta cream; homemade cavatelli with spicy tomato butter and sun-dried tomato pesto; dry-aged Delmonico steak; the showy tempura plate; the Scarduzio roll (shrimp tempura, peppered tuna, cucumber and avocado); and Wagyu filet mignon. Pastry chef Deborah Pellegrino scores with “The Jersey Shore” --- butterscotch Krimpet-style cake filled with raspberry jam, peppermint cream candy, almond joy and a peanut butter cup.
