Washington DC Restaurants
While Washington DC is famous for its history, the city is making a name for itself in the world of restaurants as well. Many restaurants in Washington DC are doing away with the entrenched local character naturally found in many of the restaurants, and are ushering in a new era of avant-garde style and high-level cuisine. And while arguably there is no city more American than Washington DC, many of the restaurants declare otherwise. Italian trattorias, Spanish tapas eateries, and Modern Greek cafes now dot the streets of Washington DC, reflecting the infusion of cultures that have come to characterize the city.
