Clara Byun, a strong woman with a broad smile, is the chef-owner of this Porter Square storefront; her husband, Young, is the face of the front of the house, the one who scurries about delivering plates to diners. Should the menu---which abounds in Korean classics, both from the home and from the snack cart-market stall---intimidate you, your hosts will gladly, emphatically, tell you what you should eat and how to eat it. Bi bim bap is especially hearty here, while the lesser-known ttokkpokki is to the streets of Seoul what hot dogs are to ballgames: finger-long white rice tubes with the texture of gnocchi, ideal for sopping up bloodcurdling chili sauce. Dumplings, soups, squid dishes---little here is less than very good. Byun's food is fiercely honest and honestly fierce. File this one under Real Find, and return often.
