| Sergio Abramof's tiny kingdom in the heart of Cleveland’s cultural playground focuses on local, organic and seasonal items as often as possible. A good place to wow a date before the theater, museum exhibition or concert, this 50-seat restaurant next door to the Glidden House Inn features a tropical garden patio with palm trees and bright umbrellas. The menu is mostly Mediterranean; Abramof's passion for flavor is evident in everything from the appetizers---Prince Edward Island mussels in white wine broth or the chèvre trio---to big, bold entrées. The prato misto is a vegetable lovers dream, featuring savory black beans, scallion rice, red-onion rings and a bounty of seasonal vegetables. The chicken paillard with a citrus gremolata is another fine option. Pastas, beef and poultry are presented dressed in a variety of colorful sauces and sides. Though the restaurant's real estate is quite small, the few tables feel neighborly rather than crowded. |
