Seviche’s décor blends Art Deco South Beach with vivid, vintage Havana. The Nuevo Latino menu stars ceviche (or seviche) in seven different preparations, plus tapas, salads, sassy finger sandwiches (bocadillos) and mucho mojitos. From a stool at the counter edging the open kitchen, watch chefs deftly construct artful plates of sushi-grade fish and fastidiously fresh produce. To guide the indecisive diner, a chef's table, with chef's choice courses, operates each night. To the other side of the restaurant, the bar crowd, exuding the steamy energy of a tropical mirage, bustles into the wee hours. A diverse clientele ranges from early grazers-cocktail seekers through dinner-hour food-centrics to late night bar-socialites. A limited dessert menu lists tres leches cake and sopapillas with daily changing sorbets. Monday night is Salsa Night on the dance floor. There's also live music on Thursdays.
