Seviche Restaurant Review: Seviche’s décor blends Art Deco South Beach with vivid, vintage Havana. The Nuevo Latino menu stars ceviche (or seviche) in six different preparations, plus tapas, salads, sushi, sassy finger sandwiches (bocadillos) and mojitos. Also, main courses --- paella, filet mignon --- expand dining possibilities. From a stool at the counter edging the open kitchen, watch chefs deftly construct artful plates of sushi-grade fish and fastidiously fresh produce. To the other side of the restaurant, the bar crowd, exuding the steamy energy of a tropical mirage, bustles into the wee hours. A diverse clientele ranges from early grazers-cocktail seekers through dinner-hour food-centrics to late-night bar-socialites. A limited dessert menu lists tres leches cake, chocolate truffle and sopapillas with often-changing sorbets. Monday night is Salsa Night on the dance floor. There's also live music on Thursdays.
