The Shack Restaurant Review

: On any given night, The Shack’s patio is filled with locals, their kids and their dogs. While indoor seating is available, the draw is the covered outdoor patio, peppered with picnic benches that encourage communal dining and getting to know your fellow patrons. Dog biscuits and water bowls are available for four-legged diners, and buckets of chalk beg for youngsters to decorate the walkways. The menu is basic American, featuring burgers, sandwiches and salads, served up in hearty portions. Popular choices include the steak sandwich, Cuban and fish ‘n’ chips. Food is meant to complement the drinks: dozens of beers are available on tap, from porters to blondes and everything in between, many of them locally produced. Test your wits during a weekly trivia night on Thursdays, or enjoy live music summer weekends.
