| Shamshiry Chelo Kabob’s reputation has been built and sustained by its assorted kebab and rice dishes. In the quiet, mirrored setting you can dine on the shirin polo (sweet rice with sugared orange peel, pistachios and almonds) and skewers of kubideh (ground beef) or barg (filet mignon) kebabs grilled over a charcoal fire. Usually served over or with rice, many of the meat kebabs also wrap well in the restaurant’s bread for a portable sandwich. Enjoy a Persian dessert to end the meal: rose water-scented noodles and fruit syrup, saffron ice cream, baklava, or a fritter (zulbia-bamieh) with rose water syrup. |
